heritage, and cannabis meet.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Peter Cardoz is a second-generation Indian-American and the son of the late, legendary Chef Floyd Cardoz, widely revered as the godfather of modern Indian cuisine. Shaped by a deep connection to his family's culinary traditions and a decade-long career as a research scientist with two published papers, Peter has been working in cannabis since 2013.
His background spans hydrocarbon and solventless extraction, product development, sales, and business consulting, with projects across the Northeast. In 2024 he launched the first full-spectrum, live resin cooking oil designed for home cannabis cooking. In 2025 he followed that with Kickin' Garlic Salt, the first rosin-infused seasoning, earning 2nd place at NECANN 2026 in Snacks and Baked Goods.
Beyond the lab and the kitchen, Peter brought his story to streaming audiences as a cast member on America's Test Kitchen: The Next Generation, Season 1. He collaborates closely with his mother Barkha Cardoz, founder of Cardoz Legacy, honoring the family's culinary heritage while redefining what cannabis can mean in everyday cooking.
